We would like to invite you to a scientific seminar with Dr Emil Dr\u00e1pela<\/a> from the Department of Geography at the Technical University of Liberec on Wednesday, 15 October 2025 at 11:30 am in room 128 at the Institute of Sociology.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Drapela will give a lecture entitled: \u201cA mental map as a research method: What can it tell us about people\u2019s perception of the world?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Dr<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Emil Dr\u00e1pela<\/strong> is an assistant professor at the Technical University of Liberec who focuses on the regional development of peripheral and border areas, tourism, and transport. In his research, he combines quantitative and qualitative methods, tries to use different types of data, and uses advanced spatial analysis methods in GIS during processing. In addition to scientific activities, he is also dedicated to popularising geographical topics through lectures for the public, programs for schools, and educational games and competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
